The Company’s Garden, located in the heart of Cape Town, is South Africa’s oldest garden and a cherished historical landmark. Originally established by the Dutch East India Company in the 1650s, the garden features a variety of indigenous and exotic plant species, beautifully landscaped lawns, and a tranquil atmosphere.
It offers visitors a peaceful retreat from the bustling city, with plenty of shaded areas, picturesque pathways, and opportunities for relaxation and recreation. In addition to its botanical beauty, the garden also houses historical statues, a bird aviary, and a delightful restaurant, making it an ideal spot for picnics, family outings, and educational visits.
