Cape Town Tandem Paragliding operates licensed instructional tandem paragliding flights from either Signal Hill or Lion’s Head in Cape Town, depending on wind conditions. Flights offer panoramic views over Table Mountain, the Atlantic Ocean and the city below, suitable for first-timers and thrill-seekers. Safety briefings and professional guidance are provided by experienced SAHPA and SACAA-approved instructors. Flight duration varies with weather and cannot be guaranteed. Reservations are recommended.

What to Bring

Comfortable closed shoes | Preferably lace-up sneakers or sports shoes (required).
Long pants | Ideal for comfort and protection (recommended).
Light jacket or windbreaker | Perfect for unpredictable weather; in winter, opt for a warm jacket and gloves (recommended).
Sun protection | Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to guard against the sun (recommended).
Drinking water | Essential, especially when hiking Lion’s Head.

Additional Information

Paragliding sessions are conducted by SAHPA-licensed instructors priritising safety and using the safest paragliding equipment.
You can bring your own camera as long as it is safely secured with some sort of lanyard (At own risk).
Dedicated transport | After you land, our dedicated shuttle will collect you and your instructor and take you back up to where you started from.
There are a few simple steps to take off and land which your instructor will go through with you.
USD and Euro currencies are accepted at a fixed exchange rate.
Flights depart from either Lion’s Head or Signal Hill, depending on wind conditions.
Disabled-friendly options available on request.

Inside Guides

GoPro footage is available to capture the flight, allowing customers to relive the moment.
The company is also disabled-friendly, offering flights to people with paraplegia and other disabilities.
Look for their vehicle when you reach signal hill parking lot (end of road), it is a white branded (Cape Town Tandem Paragliding) Toyota Quantum bus.
The shuttle back to signal hill is included in your experience.
Best flown in morning or late afternoon winds.
Arrive 20 minutes early for briefing.
