Chapman’s Peak Hiking Trail is a scenic out-and-back route above Hout Bay, accessed via Chapman’s Peak Drive. The trail climbs steadily through indigenous fynbos to a rocky summit offering wide views across Hout Bay, Noordhoek Beach, and the Atlantic coastline.

The route is approximately 5 km return with moderate to challenging sections over uneven and rocky terrain. Hikers can expect exposed viewpoints, seasonal wildflowers, and the chance to spot raptors such as black eagles. A day pass is required from the Chapman’s Peak tollgate for pedestrian access.
